About The Position
B&C Fire Safety is a 50-year locally owned, family-focused company with offices in Fort Walton Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, and Panama City Beach. B&C Fire Safety specializes in all facets of fire protection products and services. Our clients are comprised of commercial, industrial, hospitality, military as well as numerous local, state, and federal government entities. Our life safety protection services include the design, installation, inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishers, fire sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems and fire alarm systems. Our current territory spans the entire Florida Panhandle including Pensacola, Panama City, and Tallahassee. B&C Fire Safety has an immediate opening for a qualified Fire Alarm Installation Foreman, to assist in our continued growth.
Requirements
- A working knowledge of Communications systems / Fire Alarm Systems / Security Systems is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized.
- Computer skills are necessary
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid and clean driver’s license
- Pass drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Nicet or equivalent certification
- FASA/BASA certification
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic communication systems, including but not limited to, Nurse Call, Pro Sound, Paging, Intercom, Security/Access Control, CCTV, and Fire Alarm.
- All installations and service must meet the highest quality standards set forth by B&C Fire Safety, Inc., while assuring a professional and safe working environment.
- Responds to customer's service-related issues promptly
- Leading the projects/technicians to a successful completion from start to finish
- Responsible for the final hookup of electronics equipment for new jobs
- Tests and documents readings for customer's systems
- Troubleshoots and repairs electronic components
- Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment
- Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Responsible for operation of the following test equipment: Voltmeter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multimeter, and Impedance Meter
- Assists with preventive maintenance of customer equipment
- Research and obtain information on specific training opportunities
