About The Position

The Fire Alarm Install Superintendent is a senior field leader responsible for overseeing multiple projects and/or large crews while actively performing installation work. This role combines advanced technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to ensure successful execution of complex fire alarm installation projects. The Superintendent coordinates field operations, supports team development, and ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 9+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician or above.
  • Must have at least 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large crews and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, installation practices, and applicable codes.
  • Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Nice To Haves

  • NICET Level II or above preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee multiple fire alarm installation projects and/or large field crews.
  • Execute and support complex fire alarm system installations in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Coordinate daily field operations across multiple job sites.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Lead Technicians, technicians, and apprentices.
  • Interpret advanced blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Perform installation, system testing, troubleshooting, and verification as needed.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Monitor job progress, workforce allocation, productivity, and quality across projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and communication on project status.
  • Travel to job sites as required.
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
