About The Position

Shambaugh & Son is looking for a Fire Alarm Designer. In this position you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the work assigned to include fire alarm, VESDA, and special hazard systems and components. We are one of the largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors in Indiana and among the preeminent specialty contractors in the nation. We specialize in a full range of new and retrofit construction for industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio-fuel projects.

Requirements

Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks.
Experience in Fire Alarm design.
Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in large construction projects preferred.
Experience in high paced, large construction projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting in designing of fire alarm, VESDA, clean agent, and control systems.
Responsible for assisting in all communication regarding the project status with both customer base as well as the internal communications.
Assist in design schedules to meet the required schedule work in progress meetings and milestones.
Assist with design, bill of materials, and scheduling as needed.
Work with field Superintendents and Project Managers for project needs and progress.
Operate AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, and Navisworks.
Other duties as assigned.
