About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Fircosoft Implementation Consultant to lead the implementation, configuration, tuning, and delivery of a payment screening solution built on the Fircosoft (LSEG Screening Solutions) platform. This is a hands-on consulting role requiring deep expertise in sanctions screening, payment messaging standards, and financial crime compliance technology within large financial institutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience implementing or upgrading Fircosoft payment screening platforms, strong knowledge of SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 message structures, and the ability to advise Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) and Payments leadership on screening strategy, message scope, and matching methodologies. This role requires onsite presence in Manhattan, NY, at least four days per week.

Requirements

8–10+ years of experience implementing Financial Crime Compliance technology within large financial institutions.
Extensive hands-on experience implementing, upgrading, configuring, or tuning Fircosoft (LSEG Screening Solutions).
Strong expertise with: Fircosoft Continuity, Fircosoft Filtering (SIP/SAM), Firco Trust Case Management and Alert Disposition
Deep understanding of payment sanctions screening.
Strong knowledge of SWIFT MT103, MT202, MT202COV, MT205, MT210
Strong understanding of ISO 20022 messaging: pacs.008, pacs.009, camt
Experience working with: Fedwire, CHIPS, ACH payment formats
Experience configuring: Matching algorithms, Threshold calibration, Fuzzy matching, Rule tuning, Safe lists
Knowledge of sanctions list management including OFAC, UN, EU, and HMT.
Experience supporting regulatory audits, model validation, or independent testing.
Working knowledge of SQL and testing/documentation tools.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

Nice To Haves

Experience implementing payment screening solutions within Tier-1 global banking environments.
Experience advising senior Financial Crime Compliance and Payments leadership on sanctions screening strategy.
Familiarity with regulatory expectations surrounding sanctions screening governance and audit readiness.
ACAMS CAMS, CFCS, or similar compliance certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Fircosoft Screening Solutions, including Continuity, Filtering (SIP/SAM), and case management workflows.
Advise compliance and payments stakeholders on payment message types, fields, and party roles that should be included within sanctions screening scope.
Interpret SWIFT MT messages (MT103, MT202, MT202COV, MT205, MT210) and ISO 20022 payment messages (pacs.008, pacs.009, camt), identifying screenable data elements and potential data quality issues.
Configure matching algorithms, scoring logic, thresholds, weighting, safe lists, and fuzzy matching parameters to improve screening accuracy.
Implement and maintain sanctions watchlists including OFAC, UN, EU, HMT, and internal lists.
Integrate Fircosoft with payment platforms supporting SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, Fedwire, ACH, and CHIPS.
Design and execute functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing for platform implementations and upgrades.
Perform tuning exercises to reduce false positives while maintaining regulatory compliance and screening effectiveness.
Collaborate with compliance, technology, operations, and vendor teams throughout implementation and production support.
Document configuration decisions, testing evidence, tuning rationale, and governance artifacts to support audit and regulatory reviews.
Lead implementation workstreams through deployment while managing risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
Recommend improvements to screening architecture, alert handling, and case management processes.
