Finishing Technician I
About The Position
Perform a variety of tasks in the finishing process of the blade. This role involves grinding blades to work instruction specifications, applying gelcoat to designated locations, and matting to give blades a clean finish. The technician will also be responsible for painting, sanding, applying tape to edges to avoid overspray, and applying auto mask to the shell of the blade. Additionally, the role includes applying filler/mud to the lead edge of the blade and scraping off excess to ensure all voids are filled. The technician will operate machinery to turn the blade and must wear designated personal protective equipment, follow all health and safety guidelines, and maintain 5s standards.
Requirements
- Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull heavy objects.
- Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
- Ability to work with hands for an extended period.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
- Requires usage of respirator.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma/GED or related experience.
- Previous Manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
