Finishing Technician I
About The Position
Perform a variety of tasks in the finishing process of the blade. This role involves grinding blades to work instruction specifications, applying gelcoat to designated locations, and matting to give blades a clean finish. Responsibilities also include painting, sanding, applying tape to edges to avoid overspray, applying auto mask to the shell of the blade, and filling lead edges with filler/mud. The technician will also be responsible for turning the blade utilizing a machine, wearing designated personal protective equipment, following all health and safety guidelines, and maintaining 5s standards.
Requirements
- Ability to lift of carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull heavy objects.
- Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
- Ability to work with hands for an extended period.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
- Requires usage of respirator.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma/GED or related experience.
- Previous Manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities

- Apply tape to edge of blade to avoid overspray of gel coat.
- Apply auto mask to the shell of the blade.
- Apply filler/mud to the lead edge of the blade, then scrape of excess so all voids are filled.
- Turn the blade utilizing machine.
- Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain 5s standards.
