Multi-Color Corporation is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor for the Finishing Department. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day finishing operations while driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement. Requirements

  • Minimum of High School degree, with some college education preferred
  • Requires 5 plus years of progressively responsible experience, including scheduling and real time operations management
  • Strong experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Fulfillment
  • Must have Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated Change Management leadership skills
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills
  • Solid ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organization skills
  • Exceptional problem resolution and analysis skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Prior experience with cross-functional teams
  • Minimal travel as necessary

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Finishing departments
  • Serve as a highly skilled, hands-on operations champion focused on safety, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • Improve efficiency of manpower and materials while maintaining safety as the top priority
  • Monitor operational performance through company reports and key metrics
  • Lead shift meetings, determine performance standards, and drive accountability to achieve company goals and objectives
  • Assist in evaluating current and proposed systems, procedures, and workflows
  • Recommend changes when necessary and assist in the implementation of new processes
  • Play a significant role in short- and long-term planning initiatives focused on operational excellence
  • Develop and maintain capacity planning strategies to ensure schedule attainment
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve operational issues with contingency planning
  • Perform all employee management functions in accordance with company policies
  • Foster and maintain a favorable, harmonious working relationship with employees
  • Train, coach, and mentor associates, supervisors, and other direct reports
  • Ensure subordinates support applicable initiatives for their teams in alignment with management policies
  • Support cross-functional collaboration across departments
  • Maintain industry, professional, and technical knowledge through networking, industry events, and professional publications
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
