About The Position

JK Findings is a global jewelry component manufacturer and wholesaler headquartered in Rochester, New York. The Finishing Room Operator prepares manufactured jewelry components for final use, ensuring they meet appearance and handling standards. This mid-level, onsite position operates finishing equipment and follows established methods to support consistent, high-quality output. The operator cleans, polishes, deburrs, and shines products using approved solutions, procedures, and machines; sets up and runs finishing processes; and monitors quality and throughput. The role also involves organizing work, prioritizing multiple items, communicating status and issues, coordinating with coworkers, maintaining an orderly workspace, and staging completed items for the next step. The regular schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:40 a.m. to 4:10 p.m., with Friday overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

Clean, polish, deburr, and shine manufactured products using approved solutions, procedures, and machines.
Set up and run finishing processes while monitoring quality and throughput.
Organize work and prioritize multiple items.
Communicate work status and issues to the team.
Review daily priorities, gather parts and materials, and confirm the correct solutions and machine settings.
Move batches through the finishing area and perform routine checks for consistency in surface appearance.
Document exceptions for follow-up.
Coordinate with coworkers to keep work flowing, maintain an orderly workspace, and stage completed items for the next step.
