This specific role is a full-time, hourly position within the Production Department at the Omaha facility.

Requirements

  • Standing for 12-hour shifts with minimal lower body movement (excluding breaks and lunch).
  • Visual acuity at short distances to detect variances in job numbers, register, and collator marks.
  • Color vision needed to detect inappropriate product color.
  • Ability to lift and load up to 20 lb. bundles of corrugate into a case erector.
  • Ability to lift 25-35 lb. boxes continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally to cover the Palletizer position.
  • Must be able to operate electric Pallet Jacks safely.
  • Must be able to follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures related to the production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Must report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Must participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions as required.
  • Must follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods.
  • Must report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

Responsibilities

  • Feeding, palletizing, and operating banding equipment.
  • Stacking pallets according to specified work instructions and pallet diagrams.
  • Reviewing and confirming Pallet “S” Tags, Pallet logs, and Work Instructions.
  • Ensuring labels are correct and facing outwards on all finishing pallets.
  • Verifying corrugated alignment and appearance.
  • Operating electric Pallet Jacks safely to move work-in-progress (WIP) or finished pallets.
  • Lifting and placing cases on pallets while keeping the palletizing loop clear.
  • Inspecting and packing cartons as needed.
  • Assembling corrugated according to customer specifications.
  • Restocking materials for subsequent crews, including making lids, stocking corrugated, and ensuring tables are stocked with tape.
  • Following all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures related to the production of Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Reporting potentially unsafe conditions that could result in unsafe foods or non-compliance to SQF procedures to a person of authority.
  • Participating in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions as required.
  • Following all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Reporting any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority for recording and/or correction.
