About The Position

This position is for the 2nd shift in the finishing room, specifically focusing on edge scuffing. The role involves learning multiple finishing room jobs, moving materials, and using a computerized production tracking system. The employee must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, meet production goals, adhere to quality standards, and follow all safety policies and procedures. This role is essential for the success of the department.

Requirements

• Two to three years of work experience
• Knowledge of safe work practices
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Math skills
• Ability to read/write/communicate in English
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, climbing stairs, and pulling
• Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs as well as push/pull carts
• Hand dexterity and strength
• Will be exposed to finishing materials, vapors or fumes on a regular basis
• Overtime is required, including weekends sometimes with little or no advance notice
• May be required to work a flexible schedule
• Must report to work on a regular basis

Nice To Haves

• One year of production experience or similar in carpentry or fast paced, detail-oriented environment is preferred
• High School diploma or GED preferred
