About The Position
FM Industries is a premier manufacturing solutions provider specializing in build to print, precision machined components, anodizing, and engineered thermal spray coatings. They offer leading-edge support from prototype to production and have locations in Fremont and Livermore, CA, with multiple shift opportunities available. As a Finisher 2, you will deburr, sand, and clean parts of varying complexity on materials such as aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper, following direction from area leads or supervisors. This role involves reading blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications, working independently on repeat tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring accurate router accompaniment for all work orders, and achieving required surface finishes according to blueprints or instructions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous finishing experience three to five years preferred
- Enrolled in vocational education for machine technology or practical aspects of blueprint reading
Responsibilities
- Deburr, sand and clean parts on repeat or proven part(s) with simple to high complexity on a various material such as aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper with direction from area Lead or Supervisor.
- Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
- Work independently to complete repeat tasks with little supervision.
- Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders.
- Follow blueprint or instructions to achieve required surface finishes such as lay patterns and sealing surfaces.
