About The Position
The Baillie Group's Rip Line is looking to add some motivated Finished Goods Handlers to join our team. Located near beautiful Upstate, NY we are a leading commercial hardwood lumber manufacturer that is experiencing exponential growth, producing a variety of building products for numerous industry sectors. We are seeking skilled employees to assist with the day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Detail oriented
- Self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task
- Great attitude
- Standing for long periods of time, bending and stooping
- Employment is contingent on successfully passing a physical examination, including drug screening
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred
- Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide, read a measuring tape, calipers, digital indicators)
- High School degree preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Identify the sort for the carts you are responsible for.
- Placing finished products into the correct carts according to the width & Length of the pieces.
- Place each piece with the following criteria: Top, bottom and outside pieces will be the longest, All edges will be free of knots, wane, and other defects.
- Bundle must be square with edge boards against the pipes of the cart.
- Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer.
- Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove.
