About The Position

Rummel Construction is seeking an experienced Finish Dozer Operator. You should have experience working on and understanding cut/fill, mass excavation projects, and have the ability to work safely at all times. This is a safety sensitive position that is responsible for operating heavy construction equipment with knowledge of hazards, safety precautions, awareness, and of cut/fill operations for a variety of projects. You'll be working with scores of experienced operators who put safety first and work together to meet the day's goals. We take pride in taking care of our equipment and making sure our employees are set up to be successful. We typically work Monday-Friday, though some project schedules may require Saturday work.

Requirements

Experience working on and understanding cut/fill, mass excavation projects.
Knowledge of Trimble earthworks GPS.
Ability to get off and on equipment using 3 points of contact.
Ability to walk safely on 2:1 slopes throughout the jobsite.
Ability to work safely in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet, etc.).
Approximately 3+ years' experience in the construction industry.
Experience in earthmoving and heavy construction with knowledge of cut/fill operations from a variety of projects.
Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Operating heavy construction equipment with knowledge of hazards, safety precautions, and awareness.
Performing cut/fill operations for a variety of projects.
Conducting daily routine inspections on assigned equipment and reporting defects to supervisors.
Working safely at all times and in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet, etc.).
Walking safely on 2:1 slopes throughout the jobsite.
