Finish Dozer - Finish Excavator Operator- Redwater, AB
About The Position
Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. This is a full-time, seasonal position located at the Nutrien Redwater Fertilizer Plant in Redwater, AB. The role requires a hard-working, reliable individual who is flexible with their schedule and can work in physically demanding conditions. The schedule involves 10+ hours per day, with a 6 days on, 1 day off rotation. Overtime is paid after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week. Perks include benefits and RRSP/TFSA matching. Travel pay of $45.00 per day is provided.
Requirements
- Personal Reliable Vehicle
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a Dozer/Excavator operator.
- Experience with finishing work (sloping, leveling) required.
- Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
Responsibilities
- Safe operation of Dozer/Excavator as it pertains to stripping, ditching, sloping, leveling
- Operate Dozer/Excavator in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
