About The Position

Dietrich Construction is seeking skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented Finish Carpenters with millwork experience to join their growing team. This role is crucial for delivering the high-quality craftsmanship Dietrich Construction is known for. The position focuses on installing architectural millwork, cabinetry, trim, doors, hardware, and other fine finish carpentry elements on both residential and commercial projects. The Finish Carpenter will collaborate with project managers, site foremen, and other craftsmen to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality completion of all tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4–5 years of professional finish carpentry experience with extensive architectural millwork installation.
  • Strong knowledge of cabinetry installation, finish trim, doors and hardware, custom millwork, and precision woodworking techniques.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and detailed millwork specifications.
  • Proficient with finish carpentry hand tools, power tools, lasers, layout equipment, and installation hardware.
  • Demonstrated commitment to producing high-end craftsmanship with clean, accurate, and professional finishes.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to jobsites throughout the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Responsibilities

  • Install custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, casework, countertops, built-ins, and specialty woodwork with exceptional precision.
  • Install baseboards, casing, crown molding, interior doors, stair components, wall panels, and other finish trim to premium quality standards.
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and millwork details to complete installations accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure all finish work meets design specifications, client expectations, and company quality standards while maintaining tight tolerances.
  • Safely transport, stage, and protect finished materials while minimizing damage and waste.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with project managers, foremen, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules and resolve installation challenges efficiently.
