About The Position

Skyhook Metal Designs dba Skyhook Stairs & Rails is a specialty contracting company focused on the design, fabrication, and installation of architectural stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metals. Our work blends craftsmanship, precision, and high-end design. We are seeking dependable, hardworking Installers to support our field installation team. This is a non-exempt, hourly position. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in active construction environments. This role is critical in supporting Lead Installers and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The Installer works closely with the Lead Installer and Project Managers to assist in the installation of stair and railing systems at job sites. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate project needs while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Installers will regularly perform physical labor, assist with material handling, and communicate with job site personnel including foremen and superintendents.

• Must be physically fit and able to perform demanding job site work
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 75 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Comfortable working at heights

Nice To Haves

• Construction experience preferred
• Experience with trim/finish carpentry preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of stair and railing systems
• Support Lead Installer with project setup, execution, and completion
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Load, transport, and handle materials and tools safely
• Communicate effectively with team members and onsite personnel
• Anticipate next steps to support efficient workflow
• Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures
• Represent the company professionally on job sites
