About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking an experienced food server with fine dining experience for their steakhouse. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and enjoy engaging with guests. Responsibilities include receiving and serving food and beverage orders, potentially collecting payments and making change, greeting and communicating with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, processing orders using a computerized guest check system, retrieving prepared orders from the kitchen, and delivering them to guests. The role also involves carrying and balancing trays or pushing carts of food and beverages (approximately 20-30 pounds) and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room, including setup at the end of the evening. Other duties may be requested.

Requirements

• Six (6) months of fine dining food and beverage service experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for majority of shift.
• Ability to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Proficiency in utilizing a computer system for placing food and beverage orders and processing payments.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive and serve food and beverage orders from guests.
• Collect payment and make change for guest checks.
• Greet and communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous manner providing excellent service.
• Receive and process food and beverage orders from guests utilizing a computerized guest check system.
• Retrieve prepared orders from kitchen area and deliver to guests.
• Carry and balance trays and/or push cart of food and beverages through kitchen and dining room (approximately 20 to 30 pounds).
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the dining room and set up of room at end of evening.
• Perform other duties as requested.
