About The Position

Parsons is hiring a Financial Systems Integration Engineer for its Corporate team to perform assignments related to financial and accounting operations. The role supports client billing-system learning and validation, testing, project and job data conversion, and development of financial processes and procedures in collaboration with business subject matter experts and the engineering team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or equivalent.
At least 2 years of related work experience.
Experience dealing with various types of contracts.
Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts and practices.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in PC software packages typically associated with accounting.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel programs.
Ability to work independently after being shown how to perform a task.
Ability to adapt to daily changes in work schedule.

Responsibilities

Validate approximately 5,000 client invoices.
Learn a new client billing system.
Assist with management of system testing across more than 1,500 scripts, ensuring transactions are balanced and meet engineering analytics requirements.
Assist with conversion of more than 10,000 projects and jobs, including associated financial and Engineering WBS data.
Work with business subject matter experts to prepare process flow diagrams for financial processes and ensure engineering WBS classifications are consistent for company-wide analytics.
Work with business subject matter experts to prepare procedures and policies for all processes, with engineering-team guidance on establishing the correct WBS for projects.
