About The Position

CSCI Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented professional to help manage, support, and enhance a Department of Defense financial system, while providing hands-on support and training to users across the organization. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial data remains accurate, reliable, and meaningful — driving better decisions and mission success.

Requirements

  • Active SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 8+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting financial systems or accounting processes within the DoD or another government organization
  • Experience with SAP-based systems (GFEBS/SAP-ERP preferred)
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data lookups), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical details clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Team-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Special Operations Forces (SOF) or SOCOM organizations
  • Background in financial data analysis, training, or customer support
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Power Query, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data modeling, visualization, and automation)
  • Familiarity with government financial systems and documentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Commitment to learning new technologies and improving business processes
  • Department of Defense experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support for the organization’s enterprise financial systems (GFEBS/SAP-ERP)
  • Review and correct data issues to ensure financial accuracy and consistency
  • Develop and update easy-to-follow training materials and user guides
  • Provide one-on-one and group training sessions to help staff use financial tools effectively
  • Track and communicate system issues, updates, and resolutions with leadership and project teams
  • Monitor key financial reports and performance indicators to identify and resolve recurring problems
  • Support fiscal year close-out activities and assist with the preparation of new-year financial reporting
  • Manage system access requests, ensuring users have proper permissions and required training
  • Support regular system maintenance and data validation to maintain accurate and reliable financial information
