About The Position

Avantax Planning Partners, a community within Cetera Holdings, is seeking a Financial Support Associate II to provide advanced administrative and operational support to Financial Planning Consultants (FPCs) while serving as a resource to associates. This role handles a broader range of client service responsibilities, supports process improvement initiatives, and demonstrates strong independence. This will be a hybrid position located at one of our Cetera Hub locations in Kingwood, TX. This role will be working alongside and supporting the Financial Planning Consultant that covers the territory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Multi-tasking and organizational coordination are a must
  • Salesforce experience strongly needed.
  • Strong communication, customer service with escalation understanding and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2–5 years of financial services or administrative experience preferred.
  • Familiar with opening or processing financial Brokerage accounts is preferred
  • FPQP designation is a plus
  • Life & Health Insurance is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Independently prepare and review new account paperwork.
  • Create and organize client review materials and correspondence.
  • Serve as a liaison with internal departments, custodians, CPAs, and clients.
  • Manage client communication regarding account activity and deadlines.
  • Process client requests including contributions, distributions, and transfers.
  • Maintain accurate information and documentation within the CRM.
  • Assist in training Level I associates.
  • Recommend workflow and process improvements.
  • Handle moderately complex client inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
