About The Position

Holland is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated professional to join our collaborative accounting team at our corporate office in vibrant Vancouver, Washington. The Financial Staff Accountant is responsible for completing the month-end close process and assisting the Senior Financial Analyst with the necessary business plans and related reporting/reforecasting in accordance with Holland Partner Group’s Core Values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field required. Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • One year experience in accounting required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e. journal entries, debits, credits, etc.)
  • Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks in a complex and fast-paced operating environment and meet deadlines through effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to accurately work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees while inspiring respect and credibility.
  • Must be proactive, flexible, responsible and resourceful.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in corporate accounting and/or public accounting preferred.
  • Knowledge of Yardi preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting tasks including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, allocations, general ledger posting, etc.
  • Prepare month end financial statements including all supporting documents and schedules for assigned business unit.
  • Prepare intercompany and external billings for reimbursement.
  • Review, post and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Assist with the annual business plan, quarterly reforecasts and cash forecasts for assigned business unit.
  • Assist with tax compliance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable aging and follow up on any outstanding items as necessary.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support management’s decision making.
  • Research and resolve accounting issues affecting underlying accounting records.
  • Represent Holland Partner Group in a professional manner at all times.
  • Conform to company apparel standards and set a positive example for all Associates.
  • Perform all other duties as directed and assist the overall team effort in any way possible.
