As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), the journey begins with obtaining Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66) through dedicated classes. Upon licensure, individuals learn foundational advisor skills, including client acquisition, relationship management, and providing financial advice and solutions. Once key milestones are met, the FSA I will work in a financial center, delivering core banking and investment solutions. Successful FSA I's typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, continuing to grow client relationships. The Academy provides support with programs, tools, and resources throughout the career. This position requires SAFE Act registration; failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination.

Requirements

  • Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses.
  • Must be self-disciplined in managing time and capacity.
  • Experience in cultivating client relationships, accessing needs and recommending solutions.
  • Success creating strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Demonstrates a results-driven mindset while prioritizing client’s interest in a complex, fast-paced environment.

  • Learns and adapts to new technology or applications.
  • Must obtain your SIE within 30 days of being hired.
  • Must obtain your Series 7 & 66 within 120 Days.
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE).
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience.
  • Spanish speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and Series 66 licenses within specified timeframes (SIE within 30 days, Series 7 & 66 within 120 days).
  • Acquire, build, and manage client relationships.
  • Consider a client’s complex financial picture and guide them with advice and solutions.
  • Humanize financial interactions.
  • Work in a financial center to deliver Bank of America’s core banking, investment solutions and approach to client care.
  • Grow and deepen relationships within a portfolio of clients (as a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II).
  • Build a successful career through world-class training and on-boarding programs.
  • Receive training and one-on-one coaching from Academy managers.
  • Grow business knowledge by using a defined consultative approach with clients to systematically identify client needs and appropriate solutions.
  • Build network by interacting with banking customers, small business owners and higher net worth clients.
  • Leverage relationships with one out of two households in the U.S. to help eventually grow business.
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice, deliver client reviews/presentations with confidence, and recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners.
  • Connect clients to the solutions provided through Bank of America and Merrill to meet virtually all their financial needs.
