As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), the role begins with obtaining Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, Series 66) through dedicated classes. After licensing, foundational advisor skills are taught, covering client acquisition, relationship building, managing complex financial pictures, and providing advice and solutions. Upon reaching key milestones, the FSA I will work in a financial center, delivering core banking and investment solutions. Successful FSA I will typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, continuing to grow client relationships. The Academy provides support, tools, and resources throughout the career journey. This position requires SAFE Act registration, including a background check, and failure to maintain registration may result in termination.

Requirements

  • Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses
  • Must be self-disciplined in managing time and capacity
  • Experience in cultivating client relationships, accessing needs and recommending solutions
  • Success creating strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration
  • Demonstrates a results-driven mindset while prioritizing client’s interest in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Executes multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Learns and adapts to new technology or applications
  • Obtain your SIE within 30 days of being hired
  • Obtain your Series 7 & 66 within 120 Days
  • Minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience (if no Bachelor's degree)
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and Series 66 licenses
  • Acquire, build and manage client relationships
  • Consider a client’s complex financial picture and guide them with advice and solutions to help them live their best financial lives
  • Help to deliver Bank of America’s core banking, investment solutions and approach to client care
  • Grow and deepen relationships within a portfolio of clients (as Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II)
  • Use a defined consultative approach with clients to systematically identify client needs and appropriate solutions
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice
  • Deliver client reviews/presentations with confidence
  • Recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners
  • Connect clients to the solutions provided through Bank of America and Merrill to meet virtually all their financial needs
