About The Position

The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role at Bank of America is a developmental position focused on helping individuals obtain the necessary securities industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, and Series 66) through dedicated training programs. Upon licensure, the role involves learning foundational skills in client relationship management, understanding complex financial needs, and providing advice and solutions. The FSA I will work in a financial center, delivering core banking and investment solutions while focusing on client care. Successful progression leads to the Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II role, where the focus shifts to growing and deepening relationships within a client portfolio. The Academy provides ongoing support, tools, and resources throughout the career journey. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including background checks and registration with the federal registry system, and failure to maintain registration may result in termination.

Requirements

  • Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses.

  • Must obtain SIE within 30 days of hire.
  • Must obtain Series 7 & 66 within 120 days of hire.
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE).
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience.
  • 63 & 65 accepted, in lieu of 66.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
  • Acquire, build, and manage client relationships.
  • Consider a client’s complex financial picture and guide them with advice and solutions.
  • Humanize financial interactions.
  • Deliver Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions.
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice.
  • Deliver client reviews/presentations with confidence.
  • Recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners.
  • Connect clients to solutions provided through Bank of America and Merrill.
  • Grow and deepen relationships within a portfolio of clients (in Stage II).
