About The Position

As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), the employee begins by earning securities industry licenses through dedicated instruction and study time for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams; Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66. The SIE must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and the Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days. After licensing, the employee develops foundational advisory skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ financial circumstances; and offering advice and solutions aligned with their financial goals and priorities. After reaching key development milestones, the employee works in a financial center delivering core banking and investment solutions and client care. Successful FSA I employees typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they continue developing relationships within a client portfolio, with opportunities to advance into other roles at Bank of America and Merrill. The Academy provides training, coaching, programs, tools, and resources throughout this career development process. The role requires SAFE Act registration and a background check. Employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing; failure to obtain or maintain required registration may result in termination. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, and the role is first shift, 40 hours per week. The position is open across the market, and the specific financial center assignment depends on business needs. The employee may train at one financial center and then potentially work in a phone-based capacity until a suitable financial center location within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, to the extent permitted by law. The position is based in the South Gate, California market and is subject to Bank of America’s in-office attendance requirements, with role-specific flexibility. The role pays $28.85–$33.65 per hour, with offers determined by experience, education, and skill set. Compensation is a base salary and is not incentive eligible. The role is benefits eligible and includes access to paid time off and employee resources and support. Certain criminal-history restrictions under FDIC, Safe Act, Loan Originators, and FINRA laws or regulations may limit eligibility for hire.
