About The Position

At Bank of America, the Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role is an entry point into a successful career, starting with obtaining Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7, and Series 66) through dedicated and personalized classes. Once licensed, the advisor will learn foundational skills to acquire, build, and manage client relationships, understand complex financial pictures, and provide advice and solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals. Upon reaching key milestones, the FSA I will work in a financial center, delivering Bank of America's core banking and investment solutions. The role offers a structured development path, with support from The Academy providing programs, tools, and resources. Successful FSA I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they continue to grow and deepen client relationships within a portfolio. This position requires SAFE Act registration, including a background check, and failure to maintain registration may result in termination. Bank of America emphasizes an in-office culture with specific attendance requirements, while also allowing for appropriate flexibility.

Requirements

  • Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses.
  • Must be self-disciplined in managing time and capacity.
  • Experience in cultivating client relationships, accessing needs, and recommending solutions.
  • Success creating strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Demonstrates a results-driven mindset while prioritizing client’s interest in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Executes multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Learns and adapts to new technology or applications.
  • Must obtain SIE within 30 days of being hired.
  • Must obtain Series 7 & 66 within 120 days.
  • Position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements; must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing.

  • Consider a client’s complex financial picture and guide them with advice and solutions.
  • Humanize financial interactions.
  • Deliver Bank of America’s core banking, investment solutions, and approach to client care.
  • Grow and deepen relationships within a portfolio of clients (as Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II).
  • Use a defined consultative approach with clients to systematically identify client needs and appropriate solutions.
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice.
  • Deliver client reviews/presentations with confidence.
  • Recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners.
  • Connect clients to the solutions provided through Bank of America and Merrill to meet virtually all their financial needs.
