About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Finance student for a hands-on Financial Shared Services internship based in our De Pere, Wisconsin office. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience supporting Trade Promotion Management and Financial Shared Services within a leading food manufacturing organization. Interns will work alongside experienced finance professionals while developing analytical, business, and cross-functional collaboration skills. In addition to hands-on experience, interns will participate in formal onboarding, networking opportunities, weekly leadership development sessions, an internship project, and an end-of-summer presentation to the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Leadership Team.

Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years of progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related major.
  • Overall and within major, GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Demonstrated interest in accounting, finance, and operations through course work or previous internships.
  • Computer savvy, knowledge of ERP systems, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior management.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze trade promotion over- and under-accruals and identify opportunities to present recommendations to sales partners.
  • Evaluate forecasting variances by volume, rates, timing, product, and location to provide actionable business insights.
  • Support contract validation activities related to trade promotions and customer agreements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Shared Services teams.
  • Utilize business systems and tools including SAP, Vistex, IRI (Point of Sale data), Power BI, reporting platforms, and Copilot to support analysis and decision-making.
  • Participate in a meaningful internship project focused on improving processes, reporting, or business performance.
  • Attend weekly “Lessons from Leaders” sessions and engage with Finance leadership to gain exposure to various career paths and business functions.
  • Build professional relationships through networking opportunities across the organization.
  • Prepare and deliver a final internship presentation to the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Leadership Team, summarizing project outcomes and key learnings.
