About The Position

At Wycliffe Bible Translators, your work is more than just a job. As a Global Partnerships financial services specialist, you'll be responsible for providing support to the Global Partnerships Director of Finance and the Finance analyst team by assisting with project transfers, Workday project management and financial systems support and maintenance while using discretion and judgment within the limits of established policies. You'll also provide training to internal and partner staff, support special projects and process improvements, and assist with updating departmental guidelines. The Global Partnerships Finance Services team is responsible for providing reporting, budgetary, analytical and project cash flow management assistance to the projects team as they work with field partners to support the work of Bible translation and related ministries. You’ll partner with Global Partnerships Engagement leadership and other team members to: - Serve the Church – Being inspired and directed by the Church, responding to what God is calling the Church to do and reflecting the body of Christ working interdependently rather than independently. - Investing in Sustainability – Strengthening local leadership, governance and financial capacity so Bible translation movements are locally owned, spiritually vibrant and operationally resilient for generations to come. - Achieve All Access Goals 2033 – That by the year 2033: 95% of all people will have access to a complete Bible. 99.9% of all people will have access to a New Testament. 100% of all people will have access to at least a portion of the Scriptures.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the staff person is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; talk and/or hear; and walk, stand, and/or sit. Must carry, lift, and/or move up to 40-pound items used for displays or materials to give to interested people. Must be able to assemble displays. Ability to spend significant amounts of time using a computer, tablet and cell phone.
  • Proficient in programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Workspace (Mail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Slides, etc.) and video conferencing software such as Zoom; familiar with Workday HCM and Salesforce CRM. Social media skills to promote organizational needs and programs/events.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting plus 3-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, as evidenced by your personal testimony.
  • Identify with and participate in a church and proactively seek to grow your faith in Christ.
  • Establish and maintain a team of prayer partners who will support you in your season of ministry at Wycliffe (minimum 3-5 partners).

Responsibilities

  • Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
  • Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
  • Collaborate with departmental staff and partners on project transfers and reimbursements.
  • Maintain accurate information on new and already existing projects within Workday.
  • Create new projects and set up the fund in Workday and Salesforce, and the cost centers when the projects are confirmed for funding.
  • Maintain Global Partnership data policies in collaboration with the Global Partnerships Director of Operations and the Director of Financial Services.
  • Process payments for vendor invoices for services to Global Partnerships.
  • Help maintain and continue developing various manuals, training tools, financial forms and resources.
  • Approve project reimbursement requests, check requests and wire requests in accordance with established guidelines; submit all requests to Accounting for final processing.
  • Manage and track reimbursements for contractors, training sessions, and workshops, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of cash, bank and expense accounts related to field-engaged projects.
  • Assist Global Partnerships Leadership with special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Sustain a thorough understanding of operating procedures, requirements, processes and policies to ensure compliance.
  • Provide training to Financial Analysts and partner with finance staff as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Services.
