About The Position

This is a nine-month contract opportunity with long-term potential, located in Troy, New York, in a hybrid work arrangement. The Financial Services Representative responds to customer, agent, and employer inquiries and communicates with customers, field staff, service centers, sales support, and other industry companies. The role requires maintaining knowledge of plan contracts, product provisions, administration, and related processing systems; handling routine processing corrections; and recognizing when issues require advanced technical knowledge or exception processing and should be referred to a supervisor. The representative reviews and interprets records and reports to make accurate decisions and determine appropriate responses to customer inquiries. Other duties may be assigned as requested.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor's degree required.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Time-management skills.
Basic typing and computer skills.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Receive and respond to incoming customer, agent, and employer inquiries.
Communicate orally and in writing with customers, field staff, service centers, internal and external sales support, and other industry companies.
Maintain current knowledge of contract and product provisions, plan administration, and related processing systems.
Resolve routine errors requiring corrective processing.
Identify situations requiring advanced technical knowledge or exception processing and refer them to a supervisor.
Review, research, and interpret records and reports to make accurate decisions.
Evaluate customer inquiries and problems and determine appropriate actions.
Perform other duties as requested.
