About The Position

Scott Credit Union is seeking customer service professionals for a full-time Financial Services Representative position at their Wood River Branch in the Wood River, IL area. This role involves working Monday through Saturday, with scheduled rotations for Saturdays, and varied hours depending on operational needs. The position is focused on providing exceptional member experiences by educating them on SCU's products and services, identifying sales opportunities, and processing financial transactions.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of customer service experience
  • Personal computer experience, including Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

  • Identifying, educating, presenting, and cross-selling SCU products and services to new and existing members.
  • Meeting individual sales and operational goals, and assisting the branch team in achieving branch goals.
  • Recognizing cross-sale opportunities through needs-based financial conversations and referring members to mortgage, business lending/services, and investments.
  • Ensuring consistent delivery of SCU’s member engagement model using technology like tablets and enhanced ATMs.
  • Processing financial transactions for members, including opening and closing accounts.
  • Inputting, reviewing, negotiating, and closing member loan application requests.
  • Processing deposits and withdrawals from accounts.
  • Performing teller duties as needed.
  • Processing deposits to share, share draft, and other savings accounts.
  • Disbursing cash or check withdrawals.
  • Providing money orders and cash advances.
  • Receiving loan payments and service charge payments.
  • Processing transfers between accounts.
  • Processing automatic distribution forms.
  • Opening and closing teller terminals, accounting for cash, and balancing teller terminal close reports.
  • Performing required OFAC screens and reporting positive matches.
  • Complying with BSA requirements of completing CTR and SAR.
  • Responding to routine member inquiries regarding accounts, services, and discrepancies.
  • Fostering and maintaining relationships with members, providing prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous service.
  • Investigating member concerns, researching, and recommending resolutions.
  • Operating a computer to accurately post transactions, access account information, balance transactions, and update member account information.
  • Assisting others to complete tasks and work assignments.
