Requirements

  • Must be organized with an ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments in a fast-paced, independent manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone and face-to-face with members, prospects, and fellow employees.
  • A high degree of accuracy is required.
  • Willingness and ability to support other staff.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility in taking advantage of internal and external resources available.
  • Basic PC skills, including Windows and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and prospects in person and on the phone in a highly enthusiastic, efficient, and effective manner, exhibiting above and beyond service skills.
  • Serve as the initial source of information on membership eligibility and San Mateo Credit Union products and services.
  • Meet member needs, respond to inquiries, resolve member issues, and direct members in the branch and lobby to the appropriate employee for service.
  • Provide excellent member service, carrying out the member service standards with each member.
  • Effectively manage the branch walk-in log via TimeTrade.
  • Within established guidelines and procedures, perform work requiring judgment and discretion in making decisions to satisfy member needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor or Branch Manager.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and laws enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Provide service that aligns with the Credit Union’s mission of passionately delivering relevant products, services, and education tailored to help members, employees, and communities achieve their financial goals.
