Financial Services Representative - Investments (Remote)
About The Position
This is a permanent, full-time remote position for a Financial Services Representative specializing in investments. The role involves selling and delivering investment products and services, contributing to the growth of the investment portfolio, and assisting with business development to meet corporate objectives. The representative will anticipate member needs, provide financial advice on budgeting, credit management, and investment/retirement planning, and identify opportunities for sales and new members. Responsibilities also include monitoring investment renewals, maintaining member relationships through excellent service, and performing other assigned duties.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of sales, service an investment administration and/or sales experience
- Advanced member service and sales skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Mutual Funds License, active and in good standing
- Willingness to complete additional educational components as required
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary education with emphasis in business or financial planning would be an asset
Responsibilities
- Specialize in investments, sell and deliver all investment products and services
- Contribute towards the growth of the investment portfolio by attaining individual goals and objectives on an annual basis
- Assist with the development of business opportunities to establish a profitable investment portfolio with the corporate objectives of the credit union
- Anticipate and determine the needs of members. Transact request or refer the member to the suitable service area.
- Provide needs-based advice, counselling members on financial matters such as family budgeting, credit management and investment/retirement planning.
- Identify opportunities to generate sales and new members.
- Monitor the renewal of maturing investments. Ensure members receive appropriate notice, advising of alternative options and assist with renewals.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with members by providing excellent member service.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
