The Financial Service Representative (FSR) role involves greeting customers, interviewing them to understand their needs, and explaining various financial services, including deposit, consumer, and online banking options. The FSR will discuss account details such as limits, requirements, and fees, and refer customers to other bank departments for additional services. A key aspect of the role is promoting strong customer relationships through excellent interactions, cross-selling, and offering new products and services. Responsibilities also include processing initial deposits, managing safe deposit boxes, maintaining customer legal files, ensuring client information confidentiality, ordering checks and debit cards, and staying compliant with laws and regulations through online training. The FSR will also close CDs, IRAs, and Safe Deposit Boxes, assist with consumer loan applications, complete Chex Systems verification, answer customer inquiries, and demonstrate strong risk management skills, including fraud prevention and robbery awareness. Occasional travel to other branches for coverage may be required. The role also involves participating in qualifying CRA activities, collecting and reviewing required documentation, and performing other assigned duties.
