About The Position

South Carolina Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Full-Time Financial Service Representative I to join our team of outstanding professionals at our Sam Rittenberg Financial Center in Charleston, SC. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and offering financial products and services that meet the customers' needs. A typical day includes participating in team huddles, discussing loan payoffs, processing deposits and check cashing, reviewing performance with a leader, and balancing your cash drawer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of cash handling experience in a customer service or banking environment
• A positive attitude
• Ability to handle cash and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong multitasking skills
• Comfortable talking to people and connecting with others
• Willingness to offer financial products and services to customers
• Ability to consistently follow policies and procedures
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle irate customers professionally
• Proactive in volunteering for new challenges

Responsibilities

• Participate in a morning huddle brainstorming with team members about ways to meet referral goals.
• Talk with a customer about the payoff amount for their auto loan.
• Review and deposit a check into a customer's account.
• Cash a large payroll check.
• Meet with a service leader to review your current performance.
• Balance your drawer before heading home.
