About The Position

The Financial Service Controller is responsible for managing administrative and clerical procedures, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring financial accuracy within the facility. This role requires strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to meet facility and regulatory deadlines. The position involves complex mathematical calculations for budgeting and reporting, and demands exceptional attention to detail. Effective communication with various stakeholders, including residents, staff, family members, vendors, and suppliers, is crucial. A positive attitude towards the elderly population and a desire to serve the community are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related financial field, or two to four years related experience and/or training.
  • Two years of previous related experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Demonstrate delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to apply problem solving and critical thinking in performance of duties.
  • Ability to perform complex mathematic calculations as required in preparing budgets and associated reports, etc.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting financial data.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with residents/patients, staff, family members, vendors, suppliers, and other contacts, both inside and outside the facility.
  • Must exhibit patience and a positive attitude towards the elderly population and a desire to provide a service to the community.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to see, hear, and verbally communicate with residents, visitors, staff members, and other contacts during performance of duties.

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license preferred.
