About The Position

At Sun Life, clients are central to their operations. This role is for a licensed Financial Services Consultant (FSC) in Wealth, directly contributing to the company's mission of helping clients achieve lifetime financial security and healthier lives. As part of the Client Services team, the consultant will support Sun Life clients with their saving needs through phone and video interactions, providing recommendations tailored to their requirements. This position emphasizes building trust, simplifying complex financial choices, and making a tangible difference in people's lives. It is specifically focused on advising and supporting existing Sun Life clients, fostering meaningful relationships without the need for cold calling or new client prospecting.

Requirements

  • Valid and active Life Insurance License (LLQP)
  • Minimum of 2 -3 years of financial services / sales experience is preferred.
  • Completion of a college or university degree or equivalent related experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and relationships with clients over the phone / video conferencing
  • Effective listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions to understand needs
  • Self motivated and have the ability to work independently
  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking Clients or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling insurance products over the phone is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Proactively call existing Sun Life Group Retirement Savings plan members who are leaving or have left their employer retirement / savings plan to discuss the benefits of keeping their assets with Sun Life.
  • Provide consultation to clients by providing investment and protection guidance related to their financial needs, including savings, retirement income and insurance.
  • Create a risk assessment profile for wealth clients to align their investments to their desired risk tolerance.
  • Keep abreast of product changes, understand new products that that come to market, keep a pulse on industry changes and competitor products.
  • Contribute to sales targets by meeting or exceeding objectives.
