About The Position

The US Financial Reporting Lead is a senior individual contributor and the final internal reviewer of US project-company financial statements before submission to the external auditor. The role is accountable for the quality, technical accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness of the complete reporting package, including the primary financial statements, disclosures, supporting schedules, and related consolidation impacts. Although the position has no direct reports, it provides functional leadership across the Accounting, Consolidation, Tax, Finance, and other teams that contribute to the preparation of the financial statements. The role sets expectations, coordinates responsibilities and inputs, challenges the quality of deliverables, and drives issues to timely closure. This position is suited to an experienced public-accounting or financial-reporting professional with senior-level review responsibility, strong US GAAP expertise, hands-on financial-statement review experience, and the ability to lead cross-functional delivery through influence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or an equivalent professional accounting qualification strongly preferred
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting, audit, or financial-reporting experience, including substantial public-accounting experience with senior-level responsibility for complex audit or financial-reporting engagements
  • Demonstrated experience performing detailed reviews of complete financial statements and disclosures under US GAAP; exposure to IFRS, consolidation, and multi-entity reporting strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of audit methodology, financial-statement assertions, internal controls, materiality, supporting documentation, and the resolution of audit review comments
  • Advanced analytical and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial-reporting or consolidation systems; experience with SAP FI and consolidation module, or a comparable platform, preferred
  • Strong ownership and accountability for quality, accuracy, and timely delivery
  • Sound professional judgment and the confidence to challenge conclusions constructively and independently
  • Ability to translate complex accounting matters into clear conclusions, actions, and auditor-ready documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the authority and credibility to align cross-functional teams, challenge senior stakeholders constructively, and engage effectively with external auditors
  • Ability to lead through influence, establish clear ownership, and coordinate multiple teams and financial-statement workstreams in a deadline-driven environment
  • A continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to strengthen review processes, controls, templates, and team capability
