About The Position

U.S. Bank Global Fund Services is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to support its Fund Administration team. The analyst prepares and reviews financial statement filings and other financial information, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and accounting standards and maintaining accurate reporting. The role focuses on investment accounting and GAAP reporting.

The position includes preparing and reviewing financial statements and related support packages for client shareholders and the SEC. It also involves coordinating external audits, maintaining internal controls, monitoring accounting-standard changes, producing reports and analysis for senior management and stakeholders, and providing technical guidance and training to new staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• One to two years of related work experience.
• Strong background in investment accounting and GAAP reporting.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and financial reporting systems.

Nice To Haves

• College-level degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA certification or candidacy.
• Experience in Fund Administration, investment company financial reporting, or a related field such as public accounting.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Regulation S-X, and investment company financial reporting best practices.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems such as Unity Financials, Bloomberg, or Eagle STAR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including statements of assets and liabilities, schedules of investments, statements of operations, statements of changes in net assets, statements of cash flows, financial footnotes, and tailored shareholder reports.
• Prepare accompanying support packages for client shareholders and the SEC in accordance with GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with SEC, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
• Maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on reporting processes.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
• Provide training and technical guidance to new staff regarding changes in regulations and procedures.
