About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of the Controller's Office invites applications for the position of Financial Reporting Accountant. The major function of this position is financial accounting duties, including bank reconciliations, asset management, sales tax preparation and reconciliation, and journals. This position will also assist in the preparation of the annual financial report, annual athletic reports, and any other reports requested by the system office and OSRAP with all applicable federal and state requirements.

Requirements

• 5 years of accounting or auditing experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Other Bachelor's degree may be substituted for Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least seven years of accounting or auditing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree
• Define problems, establish facts, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
• Familiarity with and ability to operate office equipment including typewriters, calculators, and personal computers, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
