About The Position

As a Financial Relationship Banker, you help consumer and business customers achieve their financial goals. You are responsible for retaining and growing customer relationships by proactively identifying financial goals and needs and recommending appropriate deposit, loan, and other banking products and services. The role is based in an office branch environment and involves delivering customer service, developing relationships, and following banking policies and procedures. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Huntington will not sponsor applicants for immigration benefits for this position. Compensation varies based on factors including location, experience, and education. Colleagues may also be eligible for an applicable incentive compensation plan.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of customer service and sales experience in banking, financial services, goal-driven retail sales, or business-to-business sales; alternatively, military service in an administration, contracting, civil affairs, or similar role.
Must provide fingerprints if required by NMLS regulations and meet additional background check requirements.
Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues.
Identify opportunities to grow customer relationships through pre-set appointments, Centers of Influence, a disciplined sales process, a new customer follow-up program, and referrals from customers, colleagues, and partners.
Educate and refer customers to other areas of the bank to deepen relationships and build internal partnerships.
Educate customers on using bank technology, including online, mobile, and ATM banking.
Maintain knowledge of products, services, technology, and policies.
Follow operational, security, risk, and regulatory policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
