About The Position

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Financial Planning and Budgets Unit (FPB) is seeking a Finance Professional to join our team! The FPB Finance Professional will mainly be responsible for the coordination, tracking, and balancing of the NNL workforce ceiling. As part of this role, they will be responsible for working with external stakeholders that the FPB unit interfaces extensively, such as: Director Management Office Managers, Source of Fund Managers, and Human Resources to ensure internal controls are followed and workforce is balanced across the budget period. This role will also be responsible for other budgetary processes that are executed on yearly basis, such as the Continuing Resolution Plan. The ideal candidate is expected to exemplify leadership behaviors, as well as provide the upmost level of customer service and quality products to the organization and our stakeholders. Anyone interested in developing leadership skills in a high-impact assignment, with the visibility for future growth within Financial Services, would be a great fit for this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead balancing of the NNL Workforce Ceiling across the 8-year budget period.
  • Provide insight into potential solutions on workforce challenges across the Program.
  • Organize and effectively communicate input and feedback from wide range of stakeholders.
  • Oversee the FPB Unit's submittal of documents relating to Workforce for the Naval Reactors Technical/Budget Plan.
  • Lead adhoc requests relating to workforce from government or senior leadership that require the FPB Unit's support.
  • Lead other deliverables that the FPB Unit oversees such as the Continuing Resolution Plan.
  • Provide backup support and surge capacity for employees within the FPB Unit.
  • Keep management informed of progress and challenges, providing concise updates on overarching deliverables related to workforce and other responsibilities.
  • Administer and adhere to policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and requirements.
