About The Position

This position is in the Office of the Chief Financial, Financial Management Division. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong research and writing skills and will have experience researching and interpreting policies, laws, and regulations and developing policy directives and instructions.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must successfully pass a background investigation.
  • Selective Service registration required.
  • Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
  • Must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to anywhere in the United States and its territories for an extended period of time.
  • One full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
  • Analyzing and evaluating policy, regulations and legislation.
  • Developing policy recommendations consistent with program objectives.
  • Writing policies, directives, instructions, and other related policy documents and guidance.
  • Coordinating with senior and staff level components across the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and interpreting financial management policies, laws, regulations, directives, and instructions.
  • Developing and writing financial management policies, directives, instructions, and procedures with a high degree of clarity, precision, and technical accuracy.
  • Implementing and modifying financial management policies, directives, instructions, and procedures.
  • Preparing presentations, reports, and decision papers concerning financial policy matters.
  • Providing administrative and technical guidance to office/Agency personnel, including delivery of training and information briefings.
