About The Position

W.A. Smith Financial Group located in Sheffield Village, OH is seeking a highly detail-oriented and systems-driven Financial Planning Associate to support our advisory team in delivering precise, timely, and actionable investment, estate and tax planning outputs. This role is responsible for managing client data across multiple planning platforms, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and seamless internal delivery to advisors. This is not a client-facing sales role. This is a precision execution role that directly impacts planning quality, advisor effectiveness, and client outcomes. Requirements

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience working with data, spreadsheets, or financial documents
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Strong communication skills for internal collaboration
Self-starter mindset with high accountability
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)

Experience with financial planning or tax software is a plus

Responsibilities

Support investment, estate, and tax planning workflows, assisting with client onboarding and data entry
Upload individual tax returns in tax planning software to generate accurate planning outputs
Manage business tax return uploads and analysis in Tax Planner Pro, delivering clean outputs to advisors
Ensure all data is entered accurately and processed efficiently across platforms
Maintain clean, organized, and up-to-date documentation in Salesforce and internal systems
Complete all assigned Salesforce tasks within 24–48 hours
Support system integrations and identify opportunities to improve workflows across platforms
Collaborate with advisors and internal teams to ensure planning outputs are actionable and timely
