About The Position

New England Capital Financial Advisors is a growing independent wealth management firm dedicated to helping individuals, families, and business owners achieve their financial goals through thoughtful financial planning and investment management. We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning Associate/Paraplanner to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience working directly with Financial Advisors, participating in client meetings, developing financial plans, and helping deliver exceptional client experiences. Whether you're beginning your career in financial planning or looking to deepen your experience in wealth management, this position provides a clear path for professional growth, industry certifications, and advancement within the firm. This is not a sales position and does not require cold calling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field OR Previous experience in wealth management, financial planning, banking, insurance, investments, or client service
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

  • Gather and organize client financial information
  • Prepare financial planning analyses, retirement projections, and scenario modeling
  • Assist in developing financial plans and client recommendations
  • Create presentations and planning materials for client meetings
  • Maintain Investment Policy Statements and planning documents
  • Prepare agendas and pre-meeting materials
  • Participate in client meetings alongside advisors
  • Document meeting notes and follow-up action items
  • Coordinate implementation of planning recommendations
  • Work with attorneys, accountants, and other outside professionals when needed
  • Respond to client requests and service needs
  • Assist with account maintenance and operational processing
  • Help support client events, workshops, and educational seminars
  • Work collaboratively with advisors and client service team members
