About The Position

Iridium is seeking an Associate Director of Financial Planning & Analysis – Corporate Consolidations to play a key role in driving the company’s consolidated financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management processes. This role will serve as a critical partner to business partner FP&A teams, Accounting, and senior leadership to ensure the organization has a clear and consistent view of financial performance and outlook. The Associate Director will lead the consolidation of company-wide financial plans, forecasts, and performance results, providing meaningful insights into key drivers, risks, and opportunities. This individual will help translate financial and operational inputs from across the organization into a cohesive enterprise-level view and support senior leadership with timely, accurate, and actionable financial analysis. Success in this role requires strong FP&A expertise, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across a complex organization. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can move seamlessly between detailed financial analysis and executive-level storytelling, while continuously improving the company’s planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant FP&A, financial planning, forecasting, or corporate finance experience.
  • Strong experience with financial consolidation, enterprise-level planning, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with business unit and functional finance teams across a complex organization.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, operating metrics, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to senior leadership and other executive stakeholders.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify key financial drivers and translate analysis into actionable insights.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and experience with financial planning, consolidation, ERP, and/or business intelligence systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Finance and the broader organization.
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial information into concise, executive-level messages and recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the broader business context.
  • Demonstrated process-improvement mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate FP&A processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the consolidation of the annual budget and monthly financial forecasts across the company.
  • Partner with lines of business and functional FP& teammates to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment of financial assumptions and methodologies.
  • Consolidate revenue, operating expense, EBITDA, Capex, cash flow, headcount, and other key financial metrics into an enterprise-level financial outlook.
  • Analyze consolidated results and forecast changes, identifying key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate financial forecast cycles and ensure timely delivery of consolidated results and outlooks.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools to support consolidated planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning and forecasting processes, including simplification, standardization, and automation.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and actionable financial reporting and presentations for senior leadership, executive management, and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop consolidated financial reporting that highlights performance against plan, forecast, prior periods, and strategic objectives.
  • Provide insights into revenue, profitability, operating expenses, EBITDA, Capex, cash flow, and other key financial and operating metrics.
  • Develop executive-level analysis explaining key variances, trends, and changes in the company’s financial outlook.
  • Support the development and monitoring of enterprise-level KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear business insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Partner with business unit FP&A leaders to understand underlying business drivers and ensure consolidated results and forecasts accurately reflect operating performance.
  • Support strategic analysis, including scenario modeling, investment decisions, capital allocation, and other enterprise initiatives.
  • Assist with analysis supporting debt management, rating agency activities, investor communications, and other corporate finance priorities.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and other corporate development activities as needed.
  • Promote consistent financial planning and performance management practices across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of FP&A processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Lead or support enhancements to financial planning, consolidation, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
  • Establish and maintain standardized financial planning and reporting methodologies across the organization.
  • Develop strong working relationships with finance leaders and stakeholders throughout the company.
  • Ensure high standards of financial accuracy, data integrity, and timeliness across consolidated reporting and forecasting processes.
