About The Position

Verizon Finance is offering a Financial Planning & Analysis internship for Summer 2027. This internship provides broad exposure across Verizon's AI-first ecosystem, valuing cross-disciplinary thinkers and offering a launchpad for rising seniors. The internship aims to pave the way for joining a full-time, elite two-year rotational program, unlocking cross-organizational mobility and rapid skill development. The ideal candidates are future-focused builders who combine technical AI fluency with an innate drive to grow, are agile problem solvers who think in systems, leverage data, and streamline complex processes. Crucially, they are leaders with the capacity to break down silos, influence cross-functional teams, build lasting trust, and navigate AI ethics with a customer-first lens, all while collaborating with mentors to shape the future of tech.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a graduation date between December 2027 - June 2028, and be in good academic standing.
• Ability to participate in a full-time, hybrid, 10-week internship between June 2027 to August 2027.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Willing and able to travel.
• Willing and able to relocate.
• Demonstrate agile, clear, and persuasive written and verbal communication.
• Experiences in advanced predictive analytics & data architecture, potentially demonstrated by work in transitioning systems from historical reporting to predictive, algorithmic forecasting, behavioral data modeling, or data structuring.
• Experience in utilizing AI Frameworks & Tools (LangChain, AutoGPT, Google Gemini, NotebookLM).

Nice To Haves

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in one of the following majors: Accounting, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain or a related major.
• Business, Financial & Data Acumen.
• Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional projects, applying systems thinking, data-backed reasoning, and process simplification to solve complex problems and streamline workflows across matrixed teams.
• A track record of rapid skill acquisition and entrepreneurial initiative, with proven ability to leverage technical/data literacy (including AI tools) to adapt to shifting priorities, influence, and deliver customer-centric outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Work on impactful and timely projects that the business depends on.
• Creation of an expense agent dashboard to standardize viewing with live data through automation with AI Commentary.
• Building a bottom-up energy rates forecasting tool built through AI.
• Development of credit-driven growth initiatives to prioritize speed, precision, and provide a competitive advantage through data-rich ecosystems.
