About The Position

Maintains fiscal recordkeeping for multiple programs in a specific field or business unit setting. Assists management in preparing and modifying annual budget and short term contracts including the proposed, approved, and modified budget document; individual component budget documents. Reviews management proposals to verify analyses and ensure that proposals are within budget limits; notifies management of any budget shortfalls. Provides accounting and financial technical assistance to many other departments. Performs a variety of administrative and clerical activities to ensure financial and personnel requirements are met in a timely manner. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a research environment, preferred.
  • Experience developing comprehensive budget grids that incorporate MCA (medicare coverage analysis) determinations, highly preferred.
  • Experience using a CTMS (i.e. Oncore), especially with building and maintaining study calendars, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains fiscal recordkeeping for multiple programs and also maintains financial reporting system using accounting and spreadsheet software.
  • Assists management in preparing and modifying annual budget and short term contracts including the proposed, approved, and modified budget document; individual component budget documents.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports used to monitor/track spending and capital expenditures.
  • Prepares financial reports for use by team leaders, the leadership, and other staff in making financial decisions; develops specialized expenditure reports as needed.
  • Reviews management proposals to verify analyses and ensure that proposals are within budget limits; notifies management of any budget shortfalls.
  • Provides accounting and financial technical assistance to many other departments.
  • Enters revenue and expense data into the computerized budget system; reconciles program financial accounts.
  • Performs a variety of administrative and clerical activities to ensure financial and personnel requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Performs related duties as required.
