About The Position

This position will play a vital role in our company by ensuring data integrity, accurate commission application, and partnering with others to ensure proper revenue recognition. Additionally, you will provide a variety of operational financial tasks and business analytics in the operations department. Must be able to accurately compute, report and verify numerical data in a professional and knowledgeable manner, ensuring adherence to company policies and general accounting principles.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 + years ’ experience financial experience
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, with ability to analyze data using complex functions and pivot tables
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of accuracy with a good eye for detail
  • Able to work independently and proactive ly

Responsibilities

  • Liaison between operations personnel and local, regional, and corporate accounting to ensure correct posting of revenue.
  • Utilize business management and document management systems to obtain needed supporting documents.
  • Analyze data and research variances indicating missing revenue.
  • Work in conjunction with Hub Financial Center (HFC) and Accounting Resource Center (ARC) to resolve posting issues.
  • Other duties as occasionally requested by regional finance, HFC and ARC.
  • Gather escalated commission statements and submit them to the Carrier Management Team as requested .
  • Research, identify, and communicate key variances relating to financial and operational metrics
  • Provide ad-hoc financial and operational analysis to support business decisions
  • Research, track and resolve accounting discrepancies and questions
  • Research and resolve Direct Bill suspense items
  • Communicate with client service team to resolve exceptions.
  • Other related duties as required or assigned
