About The Position

The Operations Analyst supports financial reporting and data management for complex client portfolios. The role prepares reports, maintains and enters investment data in portfolio accounting systems, and works with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting. It offers hands-on experience working with financial data in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a contract position based in Baltimore, Maryland, and is 100% onsite in a Fells Point office.

Requirements

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and functions such as VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP.
• Ability to analyze and work with large sets of financial or numerical data.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when entering, reviewing, and validating data.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to investigate and resolve data or reporting issues.
• Genuine interest in understanding and working with financial data.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to financial reporting and/or investment operations.
• Experience using portfolio accounting or investment reporting tools and similar financial systems.
• Comfort working with technology and learning new reporting platforms and tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc client reporting.
• Enter, review, and validate investment data in portfolio accounting and reporting systems to ensure data integrity.
• Assist with onboarding new client portfolios and maintaining existing portfolio data in relevant systems.
• Identify, investigate, and help resolve data or reporting discrepancies with internal stakeholders.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure portfolio information and reports meet quality standards and deadlines.
• Maintain organized documentation of data changes, reconciliations, and reporting activities for audit and review processes.
