Requirements

  • Successfully pass fingerprint background check, prior employment verifications and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
  • Travel may be required for State business. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)
  • All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).

Nice To Haves

  • Arizona Drivers License
  • Two or more years experience training adult learners as a full time trainer responsible for instruction and group/team facilitation OR two years in a Medicaid program. Bachelor's degree in visual communications, graphic design, adult learning or related field would substitute for experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in visual communications, graphic design, adult learning or related field; or three years of experience in adult learning, technical writing and/ or graphic design; computer assistance; management and project development; and data or situational analysis; or 3 years of experience in a Medicaid program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging materials for use in computer-based training modules, webinars, videos, and classrooms. Materials include lecture outlines, storyboards and guides, exercises, games, tests, surveys, guides, demonstrations, announcements or handouts and other items as necessary.
  • Plan and design training curriculum for formal and informal training to be utilized by DMPS and external organizations on financial, medical and/or provider eligibility policy, procedures, and related supporting topics.
  • Facilitate or coordinate virtual classes, in-person classes, and other events to support eligibility policy, procedures, and systems. Work with DMPS to standardize work processes and knowledge.
  • Research, compile, and analyze data for training and division projects from sources including learning management systems, policy clarification requests, quality assurance reviews, surveys, tests, agency data, and AMS metrics. Apply results to improve training strategies and methods, AMS goals, and support systems.
  • Lead, contribute to and/or participate on policy, procedure, wordsmithing, Arizona Management System (lean) and system development/enhancement teams.
